The port of Igoumenitsa
Travel with Clickferry to the city of Igoumenitsa. Located in the northwestern region of Greece opposite the island of Corfu, is the capital of the region of Tesprotida.
At the beginning of the 20th century it was a small fishing village with 500 inhabitants but since the 1960s it became an important nucleus for Greece, preserving the picturesque character of a small town. It has beaches of crystal clear waters and landscapes of mountains and forests that surround its spas.
Igoumenitsa was surrounded by a protective wall with four monumental entrances that allowed access to the city. The most prominent was the north tower, located on top of a hill and whose archaeological sites discovered the existence of a religious sanctuary, a theater with capacity for 2,500 people and two temples.
One of the most attractive ports in Greece whose activity has been crucial for the development of the city of Igoumenitsa.
Located in the northwest of Greece, it has a connection with the port of Brindisi, in the south of Italy.
