The Port of Vulcano
Vulcano is the southernmost island of the Aeolian archipelago and the closest to Sicily. Its name, which gave rise to the term “volcano,” honors the Roman god of fire and metallurgy.
The Port of Vulcano, located in Porto di Levante, is the main point of access. It connects Vulcano with Milazzo (40 min by hydrofoil), Naples, Palermo, Messina, and the rest of the Aeolian Islands.
Just a short walk from the port are the fumaroles and sulfur mud baths, one of the island’s most famous attractions. You’ll find ticket offices, bars, restaurants, and car and scooter rentals.
