The Port of Naples-Mergellina

Mergellina is Naples’ second-largest passenger port, located in the elegant Chiaia neighborhood, about 20 minutes from the main port of Beverello.

Hydrofoils and high-speed ferries depart from Mergellina for the Aeolian Islands (Stromboli, Panarea, Salina, Vulcano, and Lipari), operated primarily by SNAV, as well as seasonal connections to the Gulf of Naples. It is a passenger-only port (no vehicles are allowed on board).

It features ticket counters for the shipping companies, a waiting area, a café, and public transportation connections (Metro Line 2, Mergellina station; bus and taxi). It is very important not to confuse Mergellina with Naples’ main port (Beverello): they are two different terminals.
