Port of Capri

Capri is one of the most glamorous islands in the Mediterranean, located off the Sorrento Peninsula in the Gulf of Naples.

Its only port, Marina Grande, is the gateway to the island. It connects Capri with Naples (Beverello), Sorrento, Castellammare di Stabia, Positano, Amalfi, Salerno, and Ischia. The ferry operators are SNAV, NLG, Alilauro, Caremar, Positano Jet, and Laser Capri.

From Marina Grande, the funicular departs and climbs up to Capri’s famous Piazzetta (the island’s “capital”). There you’ll find ticket offices, restaurants, boat rentals, a waiting room, and a luggage storage area. Marina Grande is also the departure point for excursions to the Blue Grotto.
