Frequently Asked Questions

Here you will find some of the questions most frequently asked by customers and users of our ferry booking website. Before you write to us, have a look through this section, as you might find that the answer to your question is already here.

Documentation, discounts, accredited residents and large families

This refers to the discount on the fares for regular maritime transport services granted by the Spanish State. They apply to Spanish citizens, as well as citizens of other EU member states who prove their residency in the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands, Ceuta or Melilla, for journeys for which the port of departure or arrival is in the Autonomous Community/City in which they reside.

All adult passengers must present a valid Residence Certificate and National Identity Card in order to be able to apply for this discount. If the shipping company is integrated with the telematic system SARA of the Ministry of Public Works, which allows you to check if as a community resident in the Balearic Islands, Ceuta or Melilla you meet the requirements to obtain the residency discount. If the check is positive, you can check in online and all you have to show on boarding is a valid original identification document: DNI (Spanish citizens except those under 14 years of age) or NIE/Passport (foreign EU citizens). Resident minors under one year of age do not need to present a residence certificate. If the verification is negative, you must obtain your boarding pass at the ticket office by presenting an original and valid resident's certificate if you are Spanish, and if you are a foreigner who is a member of the European Union, you must also present the EU citizen's registration certificate in order to qualify for the discount. In addition, you must present a valid original identification document: DNI (Spanish citizens except those under 14 years of age) or DNI of your country/Passport (foreign citizens). - With GNV you will have to present the documentation at the ticket office to obtain boarding passes. It is essential to hand the supporting documents for this discount in to the shipping company before departure of the ferry.

Two separate bookings must be made. For these discounts to apply all passengers included in the booking must have the same discount entitlement and each passenger must show the supporting documents.
